CLIENT: PACTICS

ARCHITECTURAL & INTERIOR DESIGN: T3 ARCHITECTS

COLLABORATION: Antoine PERRIER (Site supervision)

ENERGY EFFICIENCY: Artelia

BAMBOO FACADE: Kiri Bamboo

The PACTICS Factory in Siem Reap, Cambodia, has been producing high-quality garments like backpacks, face masks, and clothing for 20 years. To support its growth, a new warehouse was recently completed, and T3 Architects was tasked with improving the existing building by adding a double façade to reduce heat and designing two-level office spaces with an extension. The design prioritized natural, local, and sustainable materials—such as locally fired bricks, bamboo, rattan, and wood fiber—, with new roof overhangs and tensile sunshades for additional protection, aligned with PACTICS’ commitment to sustainability and a welcoming work environment.

On the west façade, T3 introduced outdoor corridors, a loggia adjacent to the pantry, and an informal meeting area overlooking the landscape. Bamboo louvers clad the whole façade, and extended roof overhangs provide shade and protection from monsoon rains. The south façade was clad entirely in bamboo poles to improve thermal comfort and enhance the building’s appearance. Interior spaces were designed for comfort and individuality, using warm tones and natural materials like plywood, wood, and bamboo. The result blends professionalism with a cozy, inviting atmosphere, leaving the client highly satisfied.

This project showcases T3’s ability to integrate sustainable materials and bioclimatic principles into industrial design, improving energy efficiency and creating a better working experience. The PACTICS Warehouse sets a new standard for thoughtful, sustainable industrial architecture.
